Who is this session for?

This session is designed for those who carry the lingering stress and busyness of the day into bed. It is especially helpful when your mind feels cluttered and you need a gentle way to shift your focus toward positive, comforting thoughts before falling asleep.

How does it unfold?

  1. at the startSettling InYou find a comfortable position and take slow breaths while tuning into the sound of the falling rain.
  2. around 1 minReleasing TensionYou use long exhales to let go of accumulated stress, allowing the rain to wash away what you no longer need.
  3. around 4 minDeepening HeavinessYou visualize a leaf gently drifting down in a quiet garden, helping your body sink safely into the mattress.
  4. around 6 minGratitude and DiffusionYou recall three small, pleasant memories from your day, using your breath to spread a feeling of peace throughout your body.
  5. around 11 minAnchoring PeaceYou gently press your thumb and index finger together to create a physical reminder of this deep comfort.
  6. around 13 minDrifting to SleepYou simply let go and drift into a restorative rest, accompanied by the steady sound of the rain.

Why does it help you sleep?

By actively recalling small, pleasant memories, this method gently redirects your attention away from nighttime rumination. Syncing these positive images with long, slow exhales helps calm your breathing and signals to your body that it is safe to relax. The physical anchor of joining your fingers creates a sensory shortcut, making it easier for your mind to return to this peaceful state during future nights.

How to listen

Listen to this recording as you lie in bed with the lights out, keeping the volume low enough to just hear the rain. Allow yourself to drift off naturally whenever you feel ready, even if the session has not yet finished.

Welcome to this time of rest. Our intention tonight is to gently release the tensions of the day, savoring a few peaceful memories with gratitude, before letting go completely. There is nothing you need to achieve here, and if anything needs your attention, you will be fully present immediately. Everyone knows that feeling when the day finally ends and the body can just rest on the mattress. Just take a moment to find the most comfortable position for your body, feeling the heavy points of support beneath you. Let's take three slow breaths to begin, inhaling deeply through the nose and exhaling fully, letting your chest and belly soften.

Take another slow breath, drawing in the quietness of the room, and as you breathe out, feel your shoulders sinking a little deeper into the bed.

And one more deep breath, allowing yourself to arrive completely in this moment, noticing the gentle sound of the rain falling outside.

And every drop of rain you hear can take you a little deeper into comfort, creating a soothing rhythm for your mind. When you notice your breathing slowing down all by itself… you can simply welcome it, letting each exhale become just a little longer than the inhale.

As you continue to breathe softly, we can let go of the day that has passed… breathing out the accumulated tensions and thoughts, letting them flow down your arms and legs, and out through your hands and feet.

With every long exhale, you can imagine releasing anything you no longer need, letting the steady sound of the rain wash it far away.

There is no effort required… just the gentle movement of your breath and the comforting sound of the water, carrying away the busyness of the day.

The heavier your body becomes on the bed… the lighter your mind feels, drifting further into this warm and safe space. You might picture a single leaf in a quiet, rainy garden, gently drifting down from a branch, swaying softly in the breeze.

And as that leaf slowly descends toward the soft earth, you too are descending safely into a deeper state of relaxation, feeling entirely supported.

Down and down… easily and without effort… resting more profoundly with every passing moment, trusting the surface beneath you.

Now that your body is resting so peacefully, we can invite some warmth into this quiet space. And I wonder which gentle memory of today will come to you first… a tiny moment of comfort that you can savor once again.

It might be the comforting warmth of a hot drink in your hands, the soft morning light, or a simple, quiet instant of silence you experienced.

Just let a second pleasant memory from your day softly appear in your mind, noticing the colors, the sounds, or the feeling of ease it brought you.

And perhaps a third memory… a shared smile, a task completed, or just the feeling of taking your shoes off… feeling a genuine sense of appreciation.

Let's use your breath to spread this warmth… as you breathe in, mentally welcome the word gratitude, or the word peace, letting it fill your chest.

And as you breathe out, let that gentle feeling of gratitude diffuse through your entire body, filling the space left behind by the tensions of the day.

Breathing in peace… and breathing out, allowing that soft, glowing appreciation to reach every muscle, every cell, wrapping you in deep comfort.

Your body already knows exactly how to rest and let go, preparing itself for a truly restorative night, while your mind continues to float on the sound of the rain.

To keep this peaceful feeling with you, you can gently touch your thumb and index finger together for just a moment, creating a quiet anchor for your mind.

Any time you need to find this sense of gratitude and peace, this simple gesture will help you return to this quiet sanctuary you have created.

And every time you listen to this session, returning to this calm will become even easier, a natural path your body will love to take.

You can release your fingers now… simply trusting that the rest will continue to deepen all by itself throughout the night, without any effort at all.

Nothing more to do… nothing more to know… just the gentle sound of the rain outside, and the steady rhythm of your breathing inside.

The music and the rain will continue to play for a while… keeping watch over you as you slowly drift further and further away.

You can simply drift now… letting the comfort wrap around you like a heavy blanket… letting go completely into the softness of the night.
