Hypnosis: stepping back from your small habits
This session is a moment of relaxation. It does not replace professional support. If you have any kind of dependence, talk to a doctor or a support service in your country, and don't stop on your own without medical advice.
All sessions →A hypnosis session on habits is relaxation time to step back from the small things you do every day: your phone, late-night snacking, whatever you keep putting off. At your own pace, you imagine another way to spend that moment. These sessions promise no result.
We all run on a little autopilot. The phone you pick up without thinking, the pantry you open at night in front of the TV even though you are not really hungry, the email you push to tomorrow again. None of this is a big deal. It is part of life. Sometimes, though, you would just like to look at it from a little farther away.
A guided hypnosis session gives you that distance. Once you are relaxed, you go back to the moment the habit kicks in: the time, the place, what you feel right before. Boredom, tiredness, wanting a small reward? You notice it without scolding yourself. Often a habit is really just a wish for a break, and that deserves a little kindness from you.
Then comes some imagining. You picture yourself in the same situation making a slightly different choice: leaving your phone in another room, pouring a cup of tea, opening that file for just five minutes. Nothing is required of you. It is a quiet rehearsal, like walking a new route in your mind before you try it for real, with no pressure at all.
These sessions are made for small daily habits and nothing more. For alcohol, drugs, or gambling, they are not suitable: talk to a doctor or a specialized service. For everything else, pick a quiet moment, listen, and see what comes to you. Nobody is grading you, and you can come back to a session any time you feel like it.
Frequently asked questions
- Can hypnosis make me change a habit?
- No one can promise you that. A session offers relaxation time to notice a habit and picture another way of doing things. What you do with it during your day is up to you.
- Which habits are we talking about?
- Small everyday ones: checking your phone without thinking, snacking at night in front of a screen, putting off a boring task.
- What about alcohol, drugs, or gambling?
- These sessions are not suitable. Talk to a doctor or a specialized service, who can listen and point you in the right direction.
- Why listen to the same session more than once?
- Because you find its images and its calm more quickly. There is no obligation: you can also listen just once, on the day you feel like it.
- What if I slip back into the habit?
- Nothing special. There are no failures or grades here. You can look at that moment with curiosity and come back to a session whenever you want.
- Does a session replace the advice of a health professional?
- No. It is a moment of wellness and relaxation, and it never replaces the advice of a health professional. Never listen while driving.
