Sleep hypnosis is a very deep relaxation guided by a voice: you count down, walk down an imaginary staircase, reach a safe place and drift into sleep with no wake-up at the end. You stay in control the whole time. The sessions below last 10 to 20 minutes and are free, ad-free and sign-up-free.

Sleep hypnosis isn't magic or a stage show. It's a state of very deep relaxation you reach by following a voice: counting down, walking down an imaginary staircase, sinking into calm water. You're always in control: nothing happens without your consent.

These sessions use classic techniques (the staircase, 5-4-3-2-1, the control room, the safe place) and end by letting you drift into sleep, with no wake-up at the end.

What does hypnosis feel like? A bit like the moment a book absorbs you so completely that you stop hearing what's going on around you. The voice gradually narrows your attention: first to what you feel (the mattress, the blanket), then to what you hear, then to your breathing. Your eyelids grow heavy, your body loosens and your thoughts lose their grip. There's nothing to "get right": if your mind wanders, the voice brings it back.

Who is it for? People who sleep badly because their head won't stop (work, worries, screens), people who wake up in the small hours and want to drift off again, and people who've tried meditation and would rather be guided by images. Pick a session to fit your night: the staircase to come down from the day, the control room to turn down the mental noise, the safe place when something's on your mind.

Listen in bed, never while driving.

Frequently asked questions

Does sleep hypnosis work?
Some studies suggest it can help certain people sleep more deeply, especially those who are more receptive to hypnosis. Results vary a lot from person to person.
What's the difference between hypnosis and self-hypnosis for sleep?
Hypnosis is led by a professional, in person. Self-hypnosis is something you do on your own at home, following a recording like these: the voice guides you, but you're the one who goes in and comes out when you choose.
How long is a sleep hypnosis session?
Here, between 10 and 20 minutes. You don't need to reach the end: you may fall asleep before it finishes, and the music fades out on its own.
Can you get stuck in hypnosis?
No. At most, you fall asleep and wake up normally.
Can I listen to sleep hypnosis every night?
Yes. Replaying the same session several nights in a row can help: your body learns to recognize the ritual and relax sooner.
Can I use it to fall back asleep in the middle of the night?
Yes: pick a short session, keep the volume very low and don't check the time. You'll find sessions made for that moment on the "Fall back asleep" page.
Who shouldn't listen?
If you have a psychiatric condition or epilepsy, check with your doctor first.
