Who is this session for?
This session is designed for travelers or anyone spending the night in an unfamiliar bed. It is especially helpful when a new environment, with its different sounds and unfamiliar pillows, keeps your mind on high alert. Listen to it when you need to feel grounded and secure away from home.
How does it unfold?
- at the startPreparationThe voice gently introduces self-hypnosis as a natural state and removes any pressure to fall asleep immediately.
- around 1 minInductionYou are guided to accept the unfamiliar sounds and textures of your new room while focusing on the comforting constancy of your breath.
- around 4 minDeepeningA slow countdown from ten to one gradually fades the outside world, using mild confusion to help your mind let go of the day.
- around 7 minThe CoreYou are transported into a private, warm sleeper train cabin where the steady, rhythmic swaying matches your breathing and brings deep comfort.
- around 11 minAnchoringA simple breathing trigger is established so you can easily recreate this feeling of safety during future travels.
- around 13 minDriftingSentences become very short and slowly fade away, leaving you with no tasks other than drifting peacefully into the night.
Why does it help you sleep?
This approach helps ease the mind by transforming the discomfort of a new place into a feeling of cozy security. The metaphor of the sleeper train is highly effective because its rhythmic, rocking motion naturally mirrors the steady pace of relaxed breathing. As your attention focuses on this internal, moving sanctuary, the brain stops monitoring the unfamiliar external environment. This shift in focus gently lowers physical tension and may facilitate a very natural, deep rest.
How to listen
Settle comfortably in your bed, whether in a hotel or a guest room, and play this recording at a low volume. Allow yourself to drift off whenever your body is ready, knowing it is perfectly fine if you fall asleep long before the journey ends.

Welcome to this moment of quiet. This is a time for self-hypnosis, which is simply a very natural, deeply comfortable state… very much like being completely absorbed in a good book, or watching a fire burn on a cold evening. You remain fully in control at every single moment… able to adjust your position or shift the blankets whenever you wish. There is absolutely nothing to achieve right now, and nothing to do right. A mattress always ends up taking the warmth of the body it supports… adjusting perfectly to your unique shape. Sleep may arrive during this sentence, or much later, or not at all tonight: in each case, you are exactly where you need to be, and there is nothing to catch up on.
You can begin by noticing the texture of the sheets beneath your hands… perhaps they feel slightly different from your usual ones at home. The pillow has its own unique shape, its own specific density cradling your head. And this room breathes with its own quiet, unfamiliar sounds. If a sound passes outside in the street, or in the hallway, it goes somewhere… and you, you have nowhere to go. You can let the sounds of this new place simply exist, allowing them to become a gentle, continuous background… just the normal, quiet life of the evening settling down. And while the environment around you is new, your breath remains exactly the same. Notice how the air enters and leaves your chest, taking its time, exactly as it always does wherever you travel, and as you exhale, your shoulders have the right to drop just a little more…
We can let this new room slowly fade away into the shadows… as we count backward from ten down to one, moving deep into your own private space. Ten… letting the attention turn inward, where everything is deeply familiar and profoundly safe. Nine… the outside world becomes a little more distant, a little softer around the edges. Eight… drifting gently, as the numbers themselves begin to blur and soften in your mind. Seven… sinking into a very comfortable, warm heaviness that spreads from your toes all the way up. Six… letting the mind loosen its grip on the events of the day, unclenching every little thought. What was earlier will soon be long ago, and what will come was already there, a little further than what remains…
Here, it is safe.
Five… the numbers are just drifting away on their own now, floating like dust in the soft amber light. Four… there is no need to hold onto them anymore, letting them dissolve completely. Three… descending even further into a quiet, undisturbed space where nobody needs you. Two… feeling completely supported by the solid, reassuring surface beneath your back. One… letting go completely, allowing the mind to rest peacefully.
Imagine, if you will, stepping into a private cabin on a beautiful, classic sleeper train. The heavy wooden door closes with a soft click, sealing away the noise of the station and the world outside. Inside this cabin, the light is warm, amber, and golden… casting a soft, protective glow on the walls. There is a very comfortable bed made just for you, with heavy, soft blankets that invite you to lie down and surrender your weight. As the train begins to gently move forward, you feel a rhythmic, soothing swaying. It is a slow, rocking motion… perfectly matching the natural, steady rhythm of your own inner calm. As you sink deeper into the mattress, just let your breath match the steady, rhythmic swaying of the train, breathing in the calm and breathing out any lingering tension from the journey you took today…
Outside the window, the landscapes change… cities pass by in the dark, silent forests glide past under the moonlight, borders are crossed… just as we sometimes sleep in different beds, different cities, or different time zones. But inside this cabin, everything is wonderfully constant. Everything is secure, warm, and entirely yours. The gentle, low hum of the train on the tracks is a lullaby for the wandering mind. Your body knows exactly how to rest, no matter the geographic coordinates… it remembers the exact way into deep relaxation. The deep vibration of the wheels carries away the tension stored in the muscles… and it is so easy to sleep deeply… wrapped in this moving cocoon of comfort. The train moves steadily, confidently through the night, and you don't need to drive… you don't need to navigate or check the map. You are just a peaceful passenger in your own rest, being carried safely toward the morning light.
And you can carry this inner cabin, this perfect sanctuary, with you… anywhere you go. Every time your head rests on a pillow, anywhere in the world, and you exhale slowly three times, this familiar calm can return at its own pace. Trusting that this soothing rhythm is always there, waiting just beneath the surface, letting each slow exhalation guide your body into a deeper state of relaxation, perfectly synchronized with the calm of the night…
And whether sleep washes over you in the next moment, or takes its time to arrive tonight, you are perfectly fine… just resting, just breathing, enjoying the gentle, unending ride.
If you need to get up, you will naturally find your full alertness. But for now… there is nowhere to be. Time can stretch out… every minute of rest can count as an hour of deep calm. The train glides forward… The wheels hum softly… The cabin is warm… Nothing to check tonight… not even you. Thoughts are floating away… The breath is slowing down naturally on its own, expanding the chest softly, creating a profound sense of inner stillness that gently washes over every single muscle…
Deeply comfortable… Letting go… Drifting completely… Safe and sound… The motion soothes… Simply resting… Just peace… Stillness… Quiet… Fading into the soft dark… The journey continues… Effortless… Calm…
