Why does it help you sleep?
This specific auto-hypnosis approach helps by giving your mind a tangible, soothing image to focus on instead of racing thoughts. Visualizing a heavy rope uncoiling fiber by fiber directly translates into physical relaxation, signaling your muscles to let go of their grip. The subtle use of mild confusion and sensory counting gently exhausts the conscious mind's need to control things. This combination can facilitate a natural transition into deep sleep by making rest feel effortless and safe.
How to listen
Listen to this session at a low volume while lying comfortably in your bed, ready for the night. You can simply let the words wash over you, and it is perfectly fine if you drift off to sleep long before the recording ends.

Auto-hypnosis is simply a very natural state, much like when you are deeply absorbed in a good book and the rest of the world just gently fades into the background… You always keep complete control here, and there is absolutely nothing to succeed at tonight. Sleep may arrive during this sentence, or much later, or not at all tonight, and in every case, you are exactly where you need to be, with nothing to catch up on. You can follow this voice to the end, or lose it along the way, or listen from afar while thinking of something else entirely. Everything is perfectly fine.
The air naturally enters your lungs, filling them with a quiet, invisible peace… Your body rests securely on the soft mattress… And as the mattress supports your entire weight perfectly, you might just notice three subtle things you can hear right now, near or far in the quiet night.
And then, you might notice three things you can feel against the bed, like the weight of your heels, or the soothing texture of the blanket resting over you.
The eyelids are already resting, feeling so incredibly comfortable right where they are. Sometimes, they become so completely relaxed that they simply do not want to open anymore, and it feels wonderful to just let them be heavy, peaceful, and still. You can just let every breath establish a quiet, steady, and incredibly peaceful rhythm in your chest as you settle in…
Each time the air leaves your body, the shoulders have the right to descend just a tiny fraction, releasing a bit more of the day.
And the air flows, and the weight settles, as you begin to walk down a very gentle, beautifully safe path in the mind… Ten… taking a slow, deliberate step down into profound comfort. Nine… moving downward smoothly and easily, knowing that there is absolutely no rush to get anywhere. You can imagine stepping up one step, and then going down two, going twice as deep with each number… Eight… descending safely and securely into the soft darkness. Seven… letting the outside world blur into a soft haze, while your inner world becomes wonderfully quiet and wonderfully vast.
What was here a moment ago will soon be long ago, and what is coming was already there, just a little further than what remains…
Here, it is calm.
Six… five… drifting downward into a vast and serene space without any effort at all. Four… going twice as deep. Three… two… the air around you is incredibly soft and wrapping you in pure comfort. One… and the numbers can just gently fade away on their own now, leaving only absolute peace and a quiet space.
Somewhere in the quiet space of your mind, you might picture a thick, heavy, woven rope. This sturdy rope has been pulled tight all day long, holding everything together, carrying so much physical tension in its tightly wound coils. But now, it is resting gently on the grassy edge of a calm, warm, and inviting lake. The surface of the water is perfectly still, reflecting the soft light of the evening. Slowly, fiber by fiber, the thick rope begins to uncoil and loosen, naturally releasing the long day. The tension just melts away into the damp earth. The rope gently slips into the warm water, sinking deeper and deeper into the soothing, welcoming liquid. The water carries all its weight effortlessly… And it feels so good to sleep deeply…
If a distant noise passes outside, it goes somewhere, and you have nowhere to go tonight, it just helps you sink deeper into this enveloping comfort. Wandering thoughts can just float away on the gentle breeze. Fiber by fiber, the tightness unravels completely. The warm water surrounds the heavy rope, softening every single thread as it drifts slowly downward, releasing all the energy that is no longer needed. Down into the quiet, dark depths. The lake is so beautifully vast and peaceful, holding everything effortlessly without any need for conscious control. Sinking further down… And your body, much like that heavy, uncoiling rope, can just let go of everything it was holding onto. Let a deeper sleep come…
Every single strand of that rope separates and softens. It descends through the clear, warm water, drifting downward without any effort at all, letting the gentle currents massage away the very last remnants of the day. Heavier and infinitely more relaxed. No one is pulling it anymore, and no one is asking anything of you tonight. It just rests gracefully at the soft, sandy bottom. You breathe gently, and the imaginary rope sinks, as the physical tension dissolves completely into the vastness of the silent lake.
Your body possesses an ancient, natural knowledge of how to rest profoundly, and it remembers it perfectly right now. It knows exactly how to restore itself in the quiet of the night. Whenever your head touches the pillow in the future and you exhale slowly three times, this magnificent calm can return, at its own gentle pace. Your hands, which no longer hold anything, can keep this wonderful habit for the night. Whether sleep takes you softly now, or you simply enjoy resting quietly in the dark, your body receives exactly the profound comfort it needs tonight. No effort is required of you. Everything happens completely on its own.
If you need to get up, you will naturally regain all your alertness. But for now, nothing matters at all. Minutes stretch out… Time slows down. One minute feels like an hour. The room is quiet. The breathing is slow. Sinking further down. Letting go completely. Drifting far away. Just the gentle sound. Just the endless peace. Soft and heavy. Moving even deeper. Nowhere to be. Nothing to do. The night is gentle. A quiet mind. A still body. Simply resting now. Peaceful and safe. Very deep quiet. A gentle breath. Just letting go…
