Who is this session for?

- around 5 minThe Control RoomYou visualize a private room where you mentally turn down the dials of your daily alertness and the volume of your thoughts.
- around 9 minAnchoringThe guide helps you set a physical breathing trigger so you can easily return to this deep calm on future nights.
- around 10 minDriftingYou allow your physical body to fall asleep first, experiencing a comforting distortion of time as you fade into slumber.
Why does it help you sleep?
This hypnotic approach works by giving your restless mind a comforting, engaging visualization, which naturally diverts your attention away from daily worries. By imagining the physical action of turning down control dials, your brain translates this mental imagery into actual physical relaxation. The counting techniques gently tire your conscious awareness, allowing your natural sleep instincts to take over without any forced effort.
How to listen
Listen to this recording while lying comfortably in your favorite sleeping position with the volume set to a low whisper. It is perfectly fine, and even expected, if you drift off into a deep sleep before the session ends.

Welcome… Tonight, we are going to explore a natural state of deep rest… Self-hypnosis is simply a gentle way to focus your mind… much like when you are completely absorbed in a wonderful book and the rest of the world just fades away… You remain in complete control at all times during this journey… There is absolutely nothing you need to achieve… no effort to make… and it is perfectly fine if you drift off and fall asleep before the end… Just allow my voice to guide you there…
Right now, you are lying comfortably in your bed… you are breathing at your own rhythm… and you are listening to the sound of my voice…
And because you are doing these three simple things, your body can already begin to settle and soften… Notice the comfortable, warm weight of your eyelids right now… They are becoming so heavy… so deeply relaxed that they just do not want to open anymore…
Take a slow, deep breath in… filling your chest with a sense of peace… and as you exhale slowly, let a wave of relaxation flow down your body…
And if thoughts are still swirling in your mind, that is perfectly okay… In fact, every single passing thought can simply become a natural signal… a gentle reminder for your body that it is time to let go even more…
In a moment, we will slowly walk down a safe, comfortable, softly lit staircase in your mind… With each step down, you can go twice as deep into relaxation…
Ten… stepping down… feeling a pleasant wave of calm washing over you…
Nine… relaxing more… letting your shoulders drop…
Eight… descending slowly… stepping down two steps… then taking one step back up, just to feel how wonderfully good it is to sink even deeper when you go back down…
Seven… six… the numbers are starting to blur in your mind…
Five… four… growing distant, soft, and hazy…
Three… two… letting the numbers fade away completely now…
One… letting go…
And now, imagine yourself stepping gently into a quiet, peaceful room inside your mind… This is your own private control room… a place of perfect safety, comfort, and calm…
In front of you is a beautifully simple, softly glowing control panel… You can reach out and rest your hand on the dial that controls your daily alertness… It is currently at ten… Slowly turn it down… nine, eight, seven… feeling your body unwind and loosen… six, five, four… growing softer and heavier… three, two, one… all the way down to zero…
Now, notice another dial right next to it… the volume of your racing thoughts… You can let go of these thoughts now… or in a few moments, whichever feels best for you… Slowly turn this volume dial down, too… The inner chatter becomes a gentle whisper… fading into a soft hum… and then… a comforting, wrapping silence…
You can dim the overhead lights in this room now… creating a soft, soothing, velvety twilight… And as the lights lower… and as your body settles fully into the mattress… it is so easy to sleep deeply…
Imagine yourself sinking down… like a smooth, heavy stone gently drifting through warm, calm water… descending slowly, safely, into the quiet, peaceful depths… sinking deeper and deeper into warm, calm water, where nothing can disturb you…
Your body knows exactly how to rest… Sleeping is its oldest, most natural state… You can trust this profound inner wisdom completely…
And each time your head touches this exact pillow in the nights to come… and you exhale slowly three times… this deep, hypnotic calm will return to you… faster and deeper than before…
When you find yourself even more relaxed… you can just let your body fall asleep before you do… watching it rest peacefully from this quiet, distant place… before you gently join it in slumber…
Here, time can stretch beautifully… Every minute of rest can feel like an hour of deep, restorative peace… If you ever need to wake up for any reason, you will naturally regain full alertness… but for now, there is nowhere else to be… nothing else to do…
Just the quiet… the warmth… and the gentle drift… sinking deeper… and deeper… into the night…
