Why does it help you sleep?
By focusing your attention on the grounding image of an ancient tree, your mind naturally steps away from racing thoughts and expectations. This visualization gently shifts your body into a state of deep rest, relaxing your muscles as you walk down the imaginary path. Recognizing your own inner resilience releases the need to control or prove anything, creating a profound physical and mental calm. Letting go of this mental weight softens your entire body, which can easily pave the way for a peaceful transition into sleep.
How to listen
Settle into a comfortable seated or lying position, keeping the volume low enough to just softly hear the words. You can enjoy this during a quiet daytime break or right before bed, and it is perfectly fine if you drift off to sleep before the final wake-up countdown.

This is a hypnosis session to take a moment of calm and feel more comfortable with yourself.
Hypnosis is a completely natural state, much like when you are simply absorbed by a beautiful landscape.
You remain in total control the entire time.
You might follow every word, or let your mind wander, or just rest lightly, and all of this is perfectly fine, there is no wrong way to do this.
You are resting here, the air comes in and goes out…
As you settle into this space, you can let your breath find its own natural rhythm, taking a slow, steady inhale, and letting it all out gently, allowing the chest to fall back down…
If a sound passes by outside, it just reminds you that the world keeps going while you rest here.
Your eyes can close whenever they are ready.
And as you notice the feeling of your back supported by the surface beneath you, your attention can gently narrow down.
It is quite easy to simply observe what is here.
You might silently notice five subtle sounds in the room, then four feelings in your body, just letting the numbers drift by as your focus turns inward.
To help this comfort grow, you can imagine a sunlit dirt path.
A very peaceful trail that slopes gently downward into a quiet inner garden, bathed in a warm, golden light.
I will count from ten to one, and with each number, you might find yourself becoming twice as comfortable.
Ten… stepping forward easily on this gentle path, feeling the ground solid beneath you.
Nine… feeling the pleasant warmth of the air around you.
Eight… moving deeper into this quiet space, leaving all the busy thoughts of the day far behind you now.
Seven… and your shoulders relax, and the breath slows down, and it feels good to just be here.
Six… a gentle sense of peace settling over your mind.
Five… halfway down, enjoying the simple, steady rhythm of your steps in the sunlight.
Four… the outside world fading further away.
Three… noticing the vibrant colors of the leaves and the soft light gently playing on the ground.
Two… almost there, trusting your own comfortable pace as you move forward easily.
One… arriving gently in this vast, safe inner garden.
Right in the center of this beautiful space stands a majestic, old tree.
It has been here for a very long time, weathering the passing seasons with an effortless grace.
This tree does not need to make any effort to be exactly what it is.
Its roots simply know how to anchor themselves deeply.
Its branches know how to reach out, finding their perfect balance in the open sky above.
It is a silent, deep knowledge.
As you look at the tree, it is so easy to feel more comfortable.
You already know how to do so many things without even having to think about them.
Your body knows how to breathe.
Your mind has gathered countless skills over the years, naturally storing them for when they are needed.
Your hands, which do not need to hold anything right now, can keep this relaxed feeling.
You might see the leaves clearly, or just feel the quiet strength of the trunk, or simply rest, and every choice is the right one.
There is absolutely nothing to prove here.
You are just standing there, completely at ease in your own space, recognizing the quiet resilience that resides within you.
You can absorb this sensation of security.
A quiet confidence that flows naturally, just like the sap in the old tree, steady and sure.
Letting your body memorize this deep comfort.
Whenever you wish, later today or tomorrow, you can take a slow breath and gently recall this sturdy, calm feeling, knowing your natural skills are right there with you.
Now, it is time to slowly transition back to your day, bringing this quiet strength with you.
I will count from one to five.
One… noticing the surface beneath you again, feeling the shape of the room around you.
Two… feeling a pleasant energy returning.
Three… taking a slightly deeper, refreshing breath, filling your lungs with fresh, waking air.
Four… your mind becoming clear and alert.
Five… opening your eyes at your own pace, feeling refreshed, fully present, and deeply comfortable in yourself.
