Who is this session for?
This session is specifically designed for anyone spending the night away from home, whether in a hotel or visiting friends. It gently guides you when you find yourself in an unfamiliar bed and your mind struggles to settle down. You can listen to it to turn any new environment into a safe space for deep rest.
How does it unfold?
- at the startPreparationYou are invited to release any pressure to fall asleep while gently acknowledging the unfamiliar room you are resting in.
- around 1 minInductionThe unfamiliar sounds and textures around you are used as comforting signals to make your eyelids wonderfully heavy.
- around 4 minDeepeningYou slowly walk down a majestic twenty-step staircase, pausing along the way to gently double your level of relaxation.
- around 7 minThe CoreYour mind builds a perfect, customized sleep room while visualizing a smooth stone sinking peacefully into calm waters.
- around 11 minAnchoringYou learn a simple physical technique using your breath and hand to easily recreate this safe space on future nights.
- around 12 minDriftingTime beautifully stretches out as the words become sparse, allowing you to float safely into quiet rest.
Why does it help you sleep?
This approach helps you drift off by welcoming the distractions of a new room instead of fighting them. By turning unfamiliar sounds into triggers for relaxation, your nervous system stops being on high alert and begins to feel completely secure. The visualization of the sinking stone naturally calms your racing thoughts, mirroring the physical sensation of falling into profound rest.
How to listen
Listen to this audio when you are already settled in bed with the lights off, keeping the volume low enough to just barely hear the words. It is perfectly fine if you drift away long before the end of the recording.

Welcome to this peaceful moment of rest… Self-hypnosis is a completely natural and comfortable state… much like when you are deeply absorbed in a beautiful story… or watching the rain fall gently against a windowpane… You are resting in this bed… you are breathing… and you are listening to my voice… You remain in complete control at all times… and there is absolutely nothing you need to achieve right now… Sleep may arrive during a particular sentence tonight… or perhaps much later… or maybe not at all… and in every case, you are exactly where you need to be… and there is no pressure to change anything…
You are lying in a bed that is not your own… in a room that might feel a little unfamiliar… and that is perfectly fine… You can feel the fabric of these sheets against your skin… the way the blankets rest over you… and the mattress supporting your weight… The pillows might feel a little different than usual… and your breath keeps going on its own… Any sound outside or inside this room only helps you focus more on this deep comfort… Every new sound is simply a signal for your mind to let go and settle further… As you sink into the mattress… you might notice your eyelids becoming wonderfully heavy… The tiny muscles around your eyes are so relaxed and so heavy that they just do not want to open anymore… You do not have to test them… you can just enjoy how incredibly good it feels to keep them softly closed…
And in this pleasant, heavy quiet… you can imagine a beautiful, majestic staircase… A safe, wide staircase leading gently downward into a profound sense of peace… The steps might be covered in a soft, thick carpet that feels wonderful underfoot… There are twenty steps… and with each step down, your mind and body can drift two times deeper into calm…
20… stepping down easily…
19… twice as relaxed…
18… feeling the gentle support of the handrail…
17… the outside world slowly fading away into the distance…
16… heavier and softer…
15…
And let's pause here for a moment on this step…
Just feeling the depth you have already reached… letting the comfort settle into your shoulders… and now continuing down…
14… sinking deeper…
13… the air feels cooler and more soothing…
12… letting go of the day entirely…
11…
10…
Pausing again on this middle step… just stepping up one step in your imagination to eleven… and then floating down two steps to nine… twice as deep as before…
8… drifting further and further down…
7… wrapping yourself in this quiet…
6… feeling completely secure and anchored…
5… almost at the bottom…
4… nothing else matters right now…
3… so calm…
2… letting go completely…
1…
When you reach the bottom of these stairs, you will feel completely safe and ready to rest… stepping right into your perfect sleep room… An ideal sanctuary your mind builds just for you… The temperature is exactly how you like it… the darkness is reassuring, thick, and soft… This absolute comfort slowly replaces the physical bed you are in right now… The unfamiliar room fades into this perfect haven… You do not have to try, because it is so easy to rest deeply in this perfect place…
And as you rest here… you can imagine a smooth, heavy stone… gently released over a clear, calm lake… It slips beneath the surface without a splash… sinking deeper and deeper into the warm, quiet water… The light from the surface gently fades… the water is so peaceful… Just like this stone, your mind is sinking into the calm waters of sleep… gliding down effortlessly through the quiet depths…
What was here a moment ago will soon be long ago, and what is arriving was already waiting just a little further than what remains… Time folds into the shadows of this room, weaving the near and the far into a single, quiet breath…
Here, it is perfectly calm.
Your sleep might arrive while you watch this stone sinking… or perhaps a little later as the water settles… or you might just rest deeply without sleeping… every path is the right one…
Your body knows exactly how to rest… it holds a deep, ancient wisdom about sleeping… no matter where you are in the world… And tomorrow night, or any time you rest in a new bed, you can find this peace again… Simply taking three slow breaths and resting your hand on your stomach will instantly bring back this perfect sleep room and this deep calm…
You can just let your lungs gently fill with this wonderful, peaceful air, taking a long, slow breath in, and then letting it all flow out smoothly, taking all the time you need to completely release…
If you ever need to get up, you will naturally regain full alertness… but for now, you can just drift… Time can stretch and slow down beautifully… Every minute of rest feels like an hour of deep, profound peace… The world outside is quiet… The shadows in your perfect room are soft and welcoming… Nothing to do… Nowhere to be… Just this gentle breath… Drifting further… Sinking deeper… So comfortable… So heavy… Letting go… Floating… Peaceful… Safe…
