- around 15 minDrifting AwayYou are encouraged to let your body fall asleep first, observing its peaceful rest before your mind quietly joins it in the quietness.
Why does it help you sleep?
Focusing on gratitude and sweet memories gently shifts your attention away from daily worries. The visualizations of the staircase and the sinking stone give your mind concrete, soothing images to follow, which naturally calms your analytical thoughts. As your mind stays pleasantly occupied with these comforting scenes, your physical body automatically releases its tension to facilitate a restorative rest.

Welcome.
You are settling in for the night, letting the day softly conclude.
You might wonder what this gentle sleep hypnosis feels like.
It is simply a very natural state of reverie, just like being completely absorbed in a wonderful, captivating book.
You remain in control.
There is absolutely nothing you have to achieve here tonight.
Sleep might arrive during this very sentence, or perhaps much later, or even not at all tonight, and in every case, you are exactly where you need to be, with nothing to catch up on.
You can just let my voice fade into the background.
And if you drift away before the end, that is perfectly fine.
A pillow always ends up taking the warmth of the head resting upon it.
You can hear the sound of my voice in the room, calm and steady, guiding you.
You can feel the soft sheets against your skin, providing a gentle layer of comfort.
You are noticing the steady, comforting rhythm of your breathing, and you can allow yourself to relax completely, without any effort.
Let your attention gently narrow down.
Notice a few quiet sounds around you… the subtle rustle of the fabric… the gentle, rhythmic rise and fall of your chest.
Your body is resting on the bed.
Your eyelids might already feel a little heavy.
They can become so relaxed, so completely comfortable, that they just do not want to open anymore.
And you do not even need to test them.
Just let that pleasant heaviness spread through every tiny muscle around your eyes.
Every time the breath flows out completely naturally, your shoulders have the absolute right to drop a tiny bit.
And as you continue to breathe comfortably, feeling the gentle rise and fall of your chest, you can imagine a beautiful, safe staircase in front of you.
It goes down gently, step by gentle step, inviting you to step into a deeper, more profound comfort.
I am going to count from ten to one.
With each number, you can drift twice as deep.
Ten… taking that first easy step down, feeling a wonderful wave of release washing over your shoulders.
Nine… drifting further, twice as deep.
Eight… you can imagine stepping back up to nine for just a moment, only to glide effortlessly down to seven, and then six… deepening that comfort exponentially.
Five… halfway down now.
The numbers are getting a bit blurry, fading into the distance.
Four… letting go of any need to keep track of anything at all.
Three… twice as peaceful.
Two… almost at the very bottom.
One… completely and beautifully relaxed.
The numbers can just drift away on their own now.
What was just a moment ago will soon be a long time ago, and what is about to come was already there, just a little further than what remains…
Here, it is calm.
You can step off that staircase into your safe sleep place.
A place built just for you.
Notice the soft, muted colors around you… perhaps deep twilight blues, or warm amber tones, or just a comforting, velvety darkness that feels incredibly safe and welcoming.
You might hear the distant, gentle sound of a breeze outside, or water flowing quietly somewhere far away.
The temperature here is absolutely perfect, matching exactly what your body needs, wrapping around you like a soft, familiar blanket.
In this safe space, you can let a warm sense of gratitude softly blossom.
Allow one or two sweet memories from your day to float to the surface.
A kind smile… a quiet moment of peace… a comforting ray of sunlight.
When you feel even more relaxed, those sweet memories will appear naturally.
You can hold them lightly, like delicate leaves resting gently on the palm of your hand.
And as you rest in this gratitude, imagine a smooth, round stone, gently released into a clear, tranquil pool of water.
Watch it sink.
Sinking deeper and deeper into the calm, warm water.
And just like that stone, you are sinking deeper and deeper into a calm, warm sleep.
Drifting effortlessly downward.
I do not know if you will sleep deeply right away, or in a few minutes, but it is so easy to let go completely.
Your body knows exactly how to rest.
It has done this thousands of times.
You can trust it entirely.
And you can set a gentle intention now.
Every night, whenever your head rests on this familiar pillow and you take three slow, long, comforting exhales, you will effortlessly return to this safe place, and sleep will deepen naturally.
Time can stretch out beautifully here.
Every minute of this deep rest can feel like an hour of profound peace.
You might even choose to let your body fall asleep first.
Just letting your body drift off, watching it rest peacefully from this quiet place in your mind, before you quietly join it.
If a passing noise happens outside, it is just going somewhere else, and you have nowhere to go, nothing to solve, and nothing to plan.
And if you need to get up tonight, you will naturally find all your vigilance.
But for now, there is nothing to do.
No one is checking anything tonight.
You might sleep, or simply rest beautifully, and both choices are wonderful for your mind.
Sinking softly.
Peaceful and heavy.
So quiet.
Just resting now.
