Who is this session for?

- around 5 minThe Night TrainYou visualize resting in a cozy train cabin, watching your daily thoughts pass by like silent, distant stations in the dark.
- around 10 minPhysical AnchorYou press your thumb and index finger together to create a physical reminder of this deep safety and relaxation for future use.
- around 11 minDrifting to SleepThe guidance slows down and softly fades away, allowing you to naturally drift into a deep slumber without any effort.
Why does it help you sleep?
The autogenic training technique used in the beginning helps physically relax your muscles by focusing your attention on sensations of heaviness and warmth. This gently shifts your nervous system into a state of deep rest. Then, the rhythmic imagery of the night train provides a soothing focal point, helping to detach your mind from daily stress. By visualizing your thoughts as passing scenery, you can acknowledge them without engaging, which naturally facilitates a restful sleep.
How to listen
Listen to this recording in bed with the lights off, using a low volume so the gentle imagery can lull you to rest. It is perfectly fine if you drift off before the journey ends, as your body will naturally take the rest it needs.

Welcome to this moment of rest. Take all the time you need to settle comfortably into your bed… adjusting your pillows and blankets until your body feels completely supported. You can let your eyes gently close whenever you feel ready. Know that you are in a safe space… and if anything needs your attention, you will immediately be fully present.
Now, take a slow, deep breath in through your nose… letting the air softly fill your belly and chest…
And exhale completely… releasing any tension you might be holding onto from your day…
Take another long, peaceful breath in… drawing calm and quiet deeply into your body…
And let the air flow out smoothly… feeling your body sink just a little deeper into the mattress…
One last time, breathe in deeply at your own pace… gathering up the remaining busy thoughts…
And breathe out softly… allowing the mattress to fully support your weight as you let go…
Your breathing will now return to its own natural, effortless rhythm. We are going to gently invite some comforting sensations into your body. You can just let these words echo softly in your mind, without forcing anything.
You might notice this heavy feeling now, or in a few moments… as you silently repeat to yourself… my arms and my legs are heavy… my arms and my legs are very heavy…
Allowing that comforting weight to settle in, you can quietly tell yourself… I am calm… I am completely calm…
And as that stillness grows, you might begin to notice a gentle warmth spreading… my arms and my legs are warm… my arms and my legs are pleasantly warm…
Just observing how your body knows exactly what to do… you can whisper in your mind… my breathing is calm and regular… it breathes in me…
Letting that gentle warmth travel toward your center… softly repeating… my belly is warm… a comforting, soft warmth fills my belly…
And finally, bringing your attention to your face… my forehead is pleasantly cool… a soothing, refreshing coolness on my forehead…
With every gentle, rhythmic breath you take, you drift a little further down into this profound comfort. And as you sink deeper… you might notice how your bed begins to feel like a cozy, secure cabin on a wonderful night train. Everyone knows that comforting feeling of being safely carried… of surrendering to a gentle, steady motion that rocks you into peace.
You are perfectly safe here in your private cabin. The soft, rhythmic sound of the wheels on the rails creates a soothing melody… a lullaby of motion that guides you forward through the night.
Looking out your window, you see the quiet, dark countryside rolling by. Every now and then, a tiny, distant light appears… glows for a brief moment… and then disappears into the peaceful darkness behind you.
The more the train moves forward, the more you leave the day behind. Any lingering thoughts or worries are just like small, silent stations that the train passes through without ever stopping.
You simply watch them glide by and fade away into the distance. You have nowhere to be right now… nothing to figure out… just the gentle swaying of the train carrying you further and further away from tension… deeper and deeper into tranquility.
In this cozy space, you can gently touch your thumb and index finger together for just a moment… sealing in this feeling of being safely carried and deeply relaxed.
This simple gesture can bring back this comforting rhythm and safety anytime you need it. And every time you return to this night train, you will find this deep calm much faster and easier. Your body knows exactly how to rest and regenerate itself… you just have to allow it to happen.
The gentle motion of the night allows you to… let go… and simply… rest.
You do not even need to listen to my voice anymore. If sleep comes, let it come… and if not, this deep rest is enough… it counts too.
Drifting along the peaceful tracks…
Carried by the calm…
Safe and warm…
