Who is this session for?

This session is designed for anyone trying to rest in an unfamiliar bed, whether you are staying in a hotel or visiting family. It is perfect for those nights away from home when your mind feels alert and you need help settling into a new environment.

How does it unfold?

  1. at the startSettling InYou are guided to find comfort in your new mattress and take three slow, relieving breaths.
  2. around 1 minBreath FocusYou lengthen your exhales to signal to your body that it is safe to relax right here.
  3. around 2 minDeepening CountdownA slow countdown from ten to one helps you sink deeper into the unfamiliar sheets.
  4. around 4 minThe Moonlit BeachYou visualize a calm night beach where the warm sand perfectly shapes to your back, merging with your mattress.
  5. around 7 minSleep AnchorYou create a physical or mental anchor to reinforce your ability to fall asleep easily anywhere.
  6. around 8 minDrifting OffThe guidance slowly fades away, leaving you to glide smoothly into a deep, restorative sleep.

Why does it help you sleep?

This method helps your nervous system adapt to a new environment by shifting your focus away from unfamiliar sounds and sensations. By blending the feeling of your current mattress with the imagery of warm, supportive sand, your mind stops resisting the new space. The extended exhales naturally slow down your racing thoughts, while the mental anchor builds a reassuring habit. This combination guides your body to feel entirely secure, making it much easier to surrender to rest.

How to listen

Listen to this at a very low volume once you are comfortably lying down in your new bed for the night. It is completely normal if you drift off before the recording ends; just let the soothing ocean atmosphere carry you away.

Welcome. You are settling into this new bed… and there is absolutely nothing you need to succeed at right now. Everyone knows that feeling when the body simply wants to rest… so let the mattress support you. Notice the points of contact beneath you… your heels… your legs… your back. This unfamiliar bed is becoming an ally for your rest. Any sounds around you can just help you isolate yourself a little more comfortably. And remember that if anything needs your attention, you will immediately be fully present.

Take a moment to inhale slowly through your nose… letting the air gently fill your chest… and then exhale with a long, soft sigh of relief.

Breathe in softly once again… gathering any lingering tension… and let it all go in a long, slow exhale that travels down your whole body.

And take one more deep, slow breath in… and as you breathe out smoothly… you can let your eyes close gently, whenever you wish.

You might be wondering how quickly you will fall asleep in this new place… and you can just let that thought drift away. Your breathing is already slowing down all by itself. With every long exhale, you sink a little deeper into this comfortable bed.

We are going to slowly count down from ten to one. Ten… every number takes you deeper. Nine… the sheets feel softer and more welcoming. Eight… sinking smoothly. Seven… you might feel a pleasant warmth, or a gentle heaviness, or nothing in particular… and that is perfectly fine. Six… drifting further down. Five… completely at ease. Four… deeply relaxed. Three… fading away entirely. Two… quiet and peaceful. One… resting deeply.

Imagine yourself transported to a beautiful, quiet beach at night. The moon is full… casting a soft silver reflection over the calm sea. The air is perfectly temperate… with a warm breeze brushing against your skin. You can hear the steady, soothing sound of the tiny waves… rolling onto the shore… and pulling back. The more you listen to the waves, the heavier your body becomes.

You are resting on the soft, warm sand… and it shapes perfectly to the contours of your back… just as this mattress is supporting you now. This new bed gently merges with this safe beach. If any thoughts cross your mind… you can simply watch them drift by like small, silvery night clouds.

Your mind doesn't need to do anything… your body already knows exactly how to sleep, wherever you are. You can just glide peacefully beneath the surface of sleep… like a soft feather drifting down to rest on the sand. You can gently bring your thumb and index finger together… or simply think of the word peace… creating a quiet anchor. Every time you listen to this session, this calm will return even faster.

And now… there is nothing left to do. If sleep comes, simply let it carry you… and if not, this deep rest is already renewing you. Just gliding slowly into the quiet night… letting the soft waves wash over your awareness.

The rhythm of the ocean and the comfort of this bed are blending together perfectly… and the music will continue for a while… watching over you…
