Who is this session for?

This session is for those who have an important event or a busy day tomorrow and are struggling to turn off their racing thoughts. It is perfect when the anticipation of the next day creates mental clutter that keeps you awake.

How does it unfold?

  1. at the startOpening and settling inYou are invited to settle comfortably, connect with the support of your bed, and take a few deep breaths.
  2. around 1 minBreath inductionYour breathing naturally slows down, finding a comfortable and effortless rhythm that mimics the gentle waves.
  3. around 2 minBody relaxationA soft wave of relaxation travels from your head down to your toes, making your eyelids wonderfully heavy.
  4. around 3 minReleasing anticipationYou use your long exhales to let go of any tension about tomorrow, letting it flow safely out through your fingertips.
  5. around 5 minSynchronic breathingResting by a starlit mountain lake, you breathe in words like calm and trust, diffusing their soothing energy into your body.
  6. around 7 minGentle descentFollowing the image of a soft falling leaf, you safely drift downward into a state of deep, restorative rest.
  7. around 8 minAnchoring and driftingYou create a physical anchor with your fingers to secure this calm for tomorrow, before drifting off completely.

Why does it help you sleep?

This method helps you fall asleep by shifting your focus away from tomorrow's pressures and into your physical senses. The technique of synchronic breathing links soothing words to your breath, which naturally calms your mind. Visualizing the quiet mountain lake creates a safe mental space, allowing your body to release stored tension and embrace peaceful rest.

How to listen

Listen to this session at a low volume while lying in your favorite sleeping position just as you are ready for bed. It is perfectly fine if you drift off before the end, as the gentle sound of the waves will continue to accompany your sleep.

Welcome. Everyone knows that moment when it feels good to just lie down… and finally let go. You are perfectly safe here… and there is nothing to achieve tonight. If anything requires your attention, you will instantly be fully present… but for now, simply rest. Take a moment to settle in comfortably… feeling the gentle support of your bed beneath you.

I invite you to take a slow, deep breath in through your nose, letting your belly soften and expand… and then exhale fully, letting it all go into the mattress…

And again, breathing in a sense of quiet calm, filling your lungs completely… and breathing out with a long, slow sigh of relief, feeling your body sink…

One more time, drawing the air in slowly and deeply, welcoming this peace… and exhaling smoothly, allowing your body to settle deeper as the breath flows out…

Your body already knows exactly how to drift into rest… let your breath return to its natural rhythm now… flowing effortlessly… just like the gentle waves you hear in the background. As you listen to the soft rhythm of the water… allow a gentle wave of relaxation to start at the top of your head. Smoothing out your forehead… softening the little muscles around your eyes. You might notice your eyelids becoming comfortably heavy… so heavy it feels wonderful to just keep them closed. This softness flows down your neck… and into your shoulders. The heavier your body feels, the lighter your mind becomes… your back melting into the sheets.

Your mind might be thinking about tomorrow… and that is perfectly okay. You can simply acknowledge those thoughts as they pass.

With every long exhale you take, you can feel that anticipation washing away… flowing down your arms and out through your fingertips…

Breathing in softly, and as you breathe out, letting any remaining tension travel all the way down your legs and out through your feet, letting your thoughts settle…

The rhythmic waves gently wash these thoughts away… leaving you feeling lighter, leaving your mind clearer.

You might notice the sound of the water now, or perhaps in a few moments… as you imagine resting by the peaceful shore of a mountain lake. The night sky is a canopy of bright, quiet stars… reflecting beautifully on the still water. The air is pleasantly cool. In this peaceful place, as you breathe in gently, welcome the word trust into your mind… and as you breathe out, let that deep sense of trust diffuse into every cell of your body…

Breathing in the word calm from this starlit atmosphere, feeling its quiet strength… and breathing out, letting that calm spread warmly through your chest and down to your toes…

You are so comfortable here… safely resting by the water. Imagine a soft leaf gently drifting down from a tree… floating slowly through the quiet air… landing safely on the calm surface of the lake. Drifting effortlessly… just as you are drifting now. If sleep comes, let it come… and if not, this deep rest is already restoring your energy for tomorrow.

Tomorrow, this deep calm will remain available to you. You can gently touch your thumb and index finger together right now… connecting to this peaceful lake. Whenever you need this quiet strength, this simple gesture will bring it back. Every time you listen, your body will find this state more easily. The lake is perfectly still… you can just… let go… and allow yourself to… drift… The waves will watch over you…
