Who is this session for?
This session is for anyone who struggles to quiet a racing mind at bedtime and needs a comforting environment to let go. It is especially helpful when you feel restless and want to be gently lulled to sleep by the soothing rhythm of water.
How does it unfold?
- at the startOpening RitualThe voice guides you to settle into your bed, notice your points of contact, and take three slow breaths to transition into rest.
- around 1 minBreath and EnvironmentYou gently synchronize your breathing with the sound of water lapping against the hull, making your exhales slightly longer.
- around 3 minDeepening HeavinessWith each breath out, you are encouraged to sink deeper into the mattress, feeling a pleasant heaviness like resting in a cozy cabin.
- around 5 minThe Calm CoveThe voice describes a securely anchored sailboat in a quiet cove, using the metaphor of gentle rocking to help your mind float and release control.
- around 9 minSafe DescentYou slide further into comfort while creating a mental anchor, associating the feeling of your pillow with this profound serenity for future nights.
- around 10 minDrifting to SleepThe guidance slows down and fades away, leaving only the sound of the waves as you naturally drift off without any pressure.
Why does it help you sleep?
This approach helps to naturally calm your nervous system by extending your exhales, which signals your body that it is safe to relax. The imagery of the anchored boat provides a secure focal point, gently occupying your attention so intrusive thoughts can float away. The rhythmic rocking motion described in the session mimics soothing sensations, easing physical tension and preparing you for deep rest.
How to listen
Listen to this track lying comfortably in your bed with the volume set very low, just as you are ready for the night. You do not need to stay awake until the end; let yourself drift off whenever sleep comes.

Welcome to this time of rest. Everyone knows that comforting feeling when the body is finally ready to rest… and you can just let yourself settle completely into your bed. Feel the way the mattress supports your back… your shoulders… the back of your head… just letting gravity do all the work for you. There is absolutely nothing you need to achieve here… and you can adjust your position or open your eyes at any time. And if anything needs your attention, you will instantly be fully present… but for now, you can just let go. Let us begin by taking a long, slow breath in through your nose… filling your lungs completely… and gently letting it out.
Take another slow, deep breath… feeling your chest expand naturally… and exhaling slowly… releasing the day.
And one more time, breathe in deeply… and as you exhale, allow your eyes to close whenever you feel ready… sinking deeper into comfort.
Now, you can let your breathing find a gentle, easy rhythm… perhaps letting your exhale become just a little longer than your inhale. You might notice the sound of the water first… the gentle rhythm of small waves lapping against the hull of a boat. When you notice your breath slowing down all by itself… you can simply welcome it. Imagine breathing in time with these calm waves… inhaling as the water swells… and exhaling fully as the water softly recedes.
Every sound of the water moving outside can become a signal for your body to relax even more deeply… letting the rhythm of the cove wash away any remaining tension.
With every long exhale, you sink a little deeper into comfort… as if you are settling into a warm, cozy cabin on a beautiful sailboat. The boat is safely anchored in a quiet, sheltered cove… perfectly protected from the wind. Feel the pleasant heaviness in your arms and legs… sinking into the softness beneath you… carried entirely by the bed.
The heavier your body rests on the mattress… the lighter your mind feels, floating on the gentle waves. You do not need to do anything at all… your body already knows exactly how to unwind and let go.
Picture this peaceful cove in your mind… the water is perfectly clear and tranquil… reflecting the soft light of the moon. The anchor is deeply and securely set in the sand below… keeping you safe and perfectly placed. You might feel the subtle, soothing rocking of the boat… side to side… a slow, rhythmic motion that gently lulls you.
Just as the sailboat allows itself to be carried by the water… yielding to the gentle currents… your mind can simply allow itself to be carried by this profound stillness. There is no need to try to fall asleep… if sleep comes, let it come… and if not, this deep rest is enough, it counts too.
A soft, warm breeze gently brushes the wooden deck above… while down here in the cabin, everything is incredibly cozy, quiet, and perfectly undisturbed. You can just listen to the water… and let your thoughts drift by like tiny leaves floating away on the gentle tide.
And as you rest here, you can feel yourself sliding even deeper into this soothing warmth… like a smooth pebble drifting slowly and safely down through clear, calm water… settling peacefully at the bottom.
Every time you listen to this session and hear the sound of these waves… your body will remember this gentle rocking and slide much faster into this profound calm. The simple feeling of your head resting on your pillow can become a reminder of this quiet cabin… bringing you back to this serene safety whenever you need it.
This deep rest you are experiencing right now… will continue to replenish you and soothe you throughout the entire night.
The water around the boat continues to… slow down… and your mind can just… let go… and rest.
Nothing left to do… nothing left to figure out… just the gentle rocking… and the quiet night.
Safe and completely secure… just letting the comforting sound of the gentle waves wash over you.
And now you can just completely drift… carried softly into the deepest, most peaceful rest.
