Welcome. Everyone knows that comforting feeling when your body is simply ready to rest… Take a moment to settle into your bed… letting your head find the perfect spot on your pillow. You don't have to achieve anything tonight… this is just a time for pure rest. If anything requires your attention, you will instantly be fully present… but for now, there is nowhere else you need to be. If your mind wanders, that is perfectly fine… you will gently drift whenever you are ready. And if you listen closely, you might hear the soft crackling of a wood fire nearby… and every crackle of the fire can become a signal for you to relax a little more…

We are going to begin with a very gentle breathing pattern… breathing in for four… holding for four… out for four… and pausing for four. You might follow my count, or find your own comfortable rhythm… whatever feels right for you tonight. Breathe in slowly through your nose, feeling the cool air gently expanding your chest… two… three… four.

Hold that breath softly, feeling a sense of calm stillness gathering deep inside you… two… three… four.

Now exhale smoothly and completely, letting go of any tension from your long day… two… three… four.

And rest in that quiet emptiness, just letting your body be entirely peaceful now… two… three… four.

Let's do that once more… inhale deeply and calmly, drawing in a warm tranquility… two… three… four.

Hold the breath gently, wrapping yourself in that soothing, comforting stillness… two… three… four.

Breathe out slowly, feeling your shoulders drop as you sink softly into the mattress… two… three… four.

And simply pause, enjoying the quiet, safe space before the next breath begins… two… three… four.

You can now let go of the counting entirely… just allowing your breathing to return to its own natural rhythm. You have nothing left to do… your body already knows exactly how to fall asleep. With every natural breath you take, your body sinks a little deeper into the mattress beneath you. The active part of your day is completely over… you are supported… safe… and delightfully heavy.

Imagine yourself resting in a beautiful, cozy mountain chalet. The room is wrapped in soft, amber light from the fireplace. Through the frost-kissed window, you can see large, delicate snowflakes falling slowly… silently… through the dark night sky. They blanket the tall pine trees in a soft, glowing white. It is so cold and quiet out there… making it feel incredibly warm and snug in here. You can feel the radiant heat from the hearth gently warming your skin… softening your forehead… relaxing every muscle in your face… your arms… your legs. The air smells faintly of cedar and woodsmoke… a grounding scent that invites you to rest. And every crackle of the wood… every pop of the glowing embers… takes you a little deeper into relaxation. It is a perfect cocoon… a shelter from the world… where you can just be.

Watch one single snowflake outside the glass… drifting down… slowly… so smoothly… without any effort at all. It sways gently left and right… descending peacefully through the calm winter air. And just like that snowflake… your mind is drifting down… deeper and deeper into comfort. So safe… so effortless… simply letting go of everything else. It lands softly on the pristine white snow… resting completely.

Any time you wish to return to this safe, warm chalet… you can simply touch your thumb and index finger together… and this comforting warmth will come right back to you. And every time you listen to this journey… your body will remember the way… and you will find this deep peace even more naturally.

The snow continues to drift down gently outside the window… and if sleep comes, let it come… or simply enjoy this deep, peaceful rest.

The fire will keep you warm, radiating a soft, steady glow that watches over you while you rest completely.

You are resting completely now, feeling the gentle warmth of the fire wrapping around you in absolute safety.

Drifting deeper and deeper into comfort, knowing that you are safe, supported, and perfectly at peace.
