Who is this session for?
This session is designed for those moments when you wake up too early and find it hard to fall back asleep. It is perfectly suited for when your mind starts worrying about the time, helping you gently embrace the remaining hours of the night.
How does it unfold?
- at the startOpening ritual and reassuranceYou will take three deep breaths and focus on the comforting weight of your blankets, realizing that simply resting is already beneficial.
- around 1 minInduction through heavinessA slow, gentle body scan guides your attention from your fingers to your toes, making each part feel wonderfully heavy.
- around 4 minSleep protectionYou will envision your bedroom as a safe cocoon, where any outside sounds or wandering thoughts become signals to sink deeper into the mattress.
- around 8 minAnchor and gentle descentBy softly linking your thumb and index finger, you anchor this calm feeling before visualizing a soft feather drifting down into the peaceful darkness.
Why does it help you sleep?
This specific approach helps ease your mind by removing the pressure to fall back asleep immediately. The monotonous body scan occupies your attention just enough to stop racing thoughts, while the focus on physical heaviness signals your body to relax completely. By transforming potential distractions into cues for deeper relaxation, this technique naturally facilitates a smooth return to rest.
How to listen
Listen to this recording at a very low volume as soon as you wake up in the dark, lying in your most comfortable sleeping position. There is no need to stay awake until the end; simply let yourself drift off whenever you feel ready.

Welcome to this quiet moment in the middle of the night… You are already exactly where you need to be… wrapped in the warmth of your bed. If anything needs your attention, you will instantly be fully present and awake… but for now, you can just let go. It is perfectly fine to just lie here and rest… waking up early happens, and this simple physical rest counts just as much as sleep. Let the morning wait for later… there is nothing to figure out right now. Just notice the way your body rests on the mattress… feeling the gentle support beneath your back, and your legs… taking in the comforting weight of the blankets over you.
Take a slow, deep breath in through your nose, letting your belly expand softly, and exhale entirely as you sink a little deeper into the mattress…
Breathe in again, welcoming this quiet and peaceful time for yourself, and breathe out slowly, letting your shoulders drop completely and easily…
Take a third slow breath, feeling the air move deeply inside, and as you release it, just let your breathing return to its own natural rhythm…
When your breathing slows down all by itself… you can simply welcome that rhythm. Your body already knows exactly how to drift back to sleep, completely naturally… without any effort. I don't know if your right arm will feel heavy first, or if your left leg will sink deeper… but you can just let your awareness glide gently over your body. Notice your right thumb… index finger… middle finger… ring finger… and pinky. Feel the palm of your right hand growing heavy… your wrist… forearm… elbow… and shoulder. Let the right side of your back sink into the bed… down to your right hip… thigh… knee… calf… ankle… heel… and your right toes. Every part becoming wonderfully heavy. Now let your attention drift to your left thumb… index finger… middle finger… ring finger… and pinky. The palm of your left hand softening… your left wrist… forearm… elbow… and shoulder. The left side of your back resting deeply… down to your left hip… thigh… knee… calf… ankle… heel… and your left toes. Your whole body is settling into a deep, comforting heaviness.
Everyone knows how good it feels to be wrapped in a warm blanket while the world is still quiet… and you have this delicious extra time just for yourself. This room is a safe, quiet cocoon… protecting your rest. You are perfectly sheltered from the outside world. Just enjoy the physical pleasure of being in bed… the softness of the pillow beneath your head… the gentle embrace of the sheets. If any morning sounds reach your ears, or a wandering thought appears… you can welcome them as a signal to sink even deeper into the heavy comfort of your mattress. Every little sound outside just proves how safe you are in here… and every thought can just drift by like a cloud. You do not need to push anything away… you are just observing, and letting go. It feels so good to let the heaviness take over… knowing you have nowhere to be… just resting here in the quiet dark.
Whenever you listen to this session, your body will recognize this path and find its way back to rest more quickly. You can softly let your thumb and index finger touch for a moment… and know this simple gesture can bring you back to this feeling of heavy, quiet rest in the middle of the night.
Now, imagine a soft, gentle feather… slowly drifting down through the peaceful darkness of the room… floating side to side with absolutely no rush… just drifting softly downward into the quiet.
You are sinking deeper and deeper into the mattress… safely and effortlessly… feeling how your body is completely heavy and your mind is perfectly quiet.
Just floating down through this soothing space… resting completely and fully… knowing there is absolutely nothing left to do but letting go of everything.
You can just keep drifting into this wonderful rest… feeling completely safe… completely peaceful… as the soft, comforting darkness watches over you tonight…
