Who is this session for?

This session is for anyone who struggles to quiet their racing thoughts after a long, busy day. It is especially helpful when you feel physically tired but your mind refuses to switch off, keeping you awake in bed. Listen to it when you need a gentle, structured focus to transition from daily stress to nighttime peace.

How does it unfold?

  1. at the startSettling inThe voice helps you get comfortable and welcomes the ambient sounds of the river as gentle signals to rest.
  2. around 1 min4-7-8 breathingYou are guided through a soothing 4-7-8 breathing cycle to naturally release the tension from your day.
  3. around 4 minSummer garden visualizationYou return to a natural breathing rhythm while imagining a warm summer garden and walking down a soft grassy path.
  4. around 7 minSafe descent by the riverYou watch a leaf float gently down the stream, allowing the water to carry away your remaining thoughts.
  5. around 10 minAnchoring and drifting offYou create a physical anchor by joining your fingers to memorize this calm, before slowly drifting into sleep.

Why does it help you sleep?

The 4-7-8 breathing rhythm provides a gentle focus for your mind, helping to quietly pause racing thoughts. By extending your exhales, this technique naturally encourages your body to release physical tension and slow down. Transitioning into the peaceful imagery of the river then gives your imagination a safe, comforting space to rest. Together, these steps smoothly guide your attention away from the day, creating the perfect conditions to facilitate deep sleep.

How to listen

Welcome to this quiet moment… taking this time just for you to find a deep and peaceful rest… Everyone knows that moment when the body simply wants to rest and let go of the day… Make yourself completely comfortable… feeling the solid support of your mattress and your pillow beneath you… If anything needs your attention, you will instantly be fully present… but for now, there is nowhere else to be… Notice the gentle sounds around you… the calm river flowing nearby and the soft songs of the night birds… They are like old friends… welcoming you and letting you know that it is time to rest…

Let us begin by taking a few slow and comforting breaths together, simply settling into this quiet space tonight…

When you notice your breath slowing down all by itself… you can simply welcome it without changing a thing… Now, we are going to use a special rhythm to help your body relax, breathing in for four, holding for seven, and breathing out for eight… but only as long as it feels completely comfortable for you… Breathe in slowly through your nose, feeling the warm summer air filling your lungs completely…

Now hold that breath gently, just for a few moments, letting the peaceful stillness settle inside you…

And exhale completely, a long and slow release, letting go of every little tension from your day…

Let us do that again… breathe in deeply and smoothly, drawing in all the calm of this beautiful night…

Hold it softly, feeling safe and relaxed, allowing your mind to rest in this quiet space between breaths…

And slowly breathe out, releasing any lingering thoughts, just letting them flow away on the gentle breeze…

One last time… inhale the soothing night air, feeling your chest expand naturally and effortlessly…

Hold the breath comfortably, embracing this warm tranquility that is spreading through your entire body…

And exhale fully, sinking deeper into your bed, knowing your body already knows exactly how to relax…

You can let go of the counting now… just breathing naturally and easily… no more counting, just breathing… I don't know if your hands or your feet will feel heavy first… but you can feel that heaviness spreading… Imagine yourself standing in a beautiful summer garden at night… the air is perfectly warm against your skin… You can smell the rich earth and the green leaves… and hear the steady, calming sound of the river nearby… There is a soft grassy path leading down toward the water… and with each step you take, you relax even more… Ten… stepping down gently on the soft grass… Nine… your eyelids are becoming heavier and heavier… Eight… sinking twice as deep into this comforting calmness… Seven… breathing the sweet night air… Six… letting go completely… Five… halfway down to the water's edge… Four… feeling incredibly safe and secure… Three… almost there… Two… perfectly relaxed… One… arriving at the peaceful riverbank, feeling completely at ease in this beautiful summer garden…

You sit down safely by the water, watching the gentle current… The more you listen to the calm river, the deeper your body sinks into the bed… You notice a small leaf floating on the calm water… gliding slowly, safely carried by the stream… As it drifts further and further away, you feel yourself drifting too… The night air is warm… and you can… let go… as the water flows… The river gently washes away any remaining thoughts from your day… If sleep comes, simply let it come… and if not, this deep rest is enough, it counts too…

To remember this profound peace, you can softly press your thumb and index finger together right now… This simple gesture will help you return to the warmth of this night garden whenever you need it… Each time you listen to this session, returning to this peaceful place will be easier and faster… Night after night, your mind learns that it is safe to put the day away… Allow yourself to discover this deep tranquility… drifting further down into this comforting and peaceful rest…

You are just resting now, letting go of everything else, completely surrounded by the gentle warmth of the night…

The music and the river will continue to watch over you, keeping you safe as you drift into a deep sleep…
