You can listen to it right in your bed to easily return to a state of deep rest.

- around 9 minSafe descentYou visualize a soft leaf floating effortlessly down through the calm night air, guiding you into a deeper state of relaxation.
- around 12 minAnchor and peaceful endYou choose a simple anchor word to help you return to this calm state anytime, as you slowly drift away.
Why does it help you sleep?
This specific method helps to calm your nervous system by focusing your attention on physical sensations rather than nighttime worries. By silently repeating phrases about heaviness and warmth, your muscles naturally release built-up tension. This gentle mental repetition quiets a busy mind and signals to your body that it is safe to let go. As a result, your breathing slows down on its own, making it much easier to drift back into a peaceful slumber.
How to listen
Listen to this recording at a very low volume, lying comfortably in your favorite sleeping position as soon as you wake up during the night. You do not need to stay awake until the end, as you are completely free to drift off whenever sleep invites you.

Welcome to this quiet moment in the middle of the night. You are already in your bed… safe and comfortable. If anything needs your attention, you will immediately be fully present. Take a moment to feel the gentle support of your mattress beneath your body… the way it holds your back and cradles your head so perfectly.
Now, take three slow, gentle breaths at your own pace… allowing your chest to rise and fall softly with the quiet rhythm of the night, letting go of any tension with every long exhale you make.
It is completely normal to wake up during the night… there is nothing you need to fix or achieve right now. You do not need to look at the time, or worry about tomorrow. If sleep comes, let it come… and if not, this quiet rest is enough, because resting your body and mind is just as valuable as sleeping.
Bring your attention gently to your breathing… simply noticing the cool air entering your nose, and the slightly warmer air flowing out into the quiet space around you.
You might choose to let your exhales become just a little bit longer than your inhales… without forcing anything at all, simply observing the natural flow of your breath.
If any thoughts about tomorrow drift into your mind, or if you hear a faint sound from outside… you can just welcome them as passing guests in the night, letting them drift away as easily as they arrived. As you notice your breath slowing down all by itself… you can simply welcome it. Your body already knows exactly how to rest.
Now, we are going to invite a deep sense of comfort into your body. I will say a few simple phrases… and you can softly repeat them in your own mind, letting the words echo in the quiet space behind your closed eyes.
Let us begin with a feeling of heaviness. You might notice this pleasant heaviness in your right arm first, or perhaps your left arm… and as you do, you can repeat silently… My arms are heavy… my arms are pleasantly heavy.
And as this feeling settles in, you can quietly tell yourself… I am calm… I feel completely calm and at ease in this quiet night.
Now let this soothing heaviness flow down into your legs. Repeating silently… My legs are heavy… my legs are deeply and comfortably heavy.
And again, reminding yourself… I am calm… my whole body is resting in a deep, peaceful calm.
Now, welcoming a soft, pleasant warmth. My arms and legs are warm… a gentle, soothing warmth is spreading through my arms and legs.
And as you rest here, you can notice how your breathing happens all on its own. Repeating softly… It breathes in me… my breath breathes itself, smooth and steady.
Letting that gentle warmth gather in the center of your body now. My belly is warm… a soft, comforting heat is radiating through my belly.
And finally, inviting a refreshing coolness to your face. My forehead is cool… a pleasant, relaxed coolness rests softly on my forehead.
As you let all these sensations blend together, you can whisper in your mind… I am calm… I am completely calm and safe in the stillness of this night.
Everyone knows that comforting feeling of sinking into a soft bed in the middle of the night… feeling totally held and supported.
Imagine a beautiful, soft leaf… gently detaching from a branch, floating down through the calm, clear night air of a quiet evening.
You can watch it drifting slowly downward… swirling effortlessly in the gentle breeze, taking its time. The night air allows everything to… slow down… and simply… rest.
And with every gentle sway of that soft leaf, you can feel yourself sinking deeper… safely and easily… letting go of any remaining tension. Drifting further and further down, until the leaf settles softly onto the plush, welcoming grass.
As you rest in this deep, quiet space, you might gently choose a simple word… like peace, or rest.
Whenever you wake up in the quiet hours and wish to return to this comforting heaviness… you can simply repeat this word in your mind, allowing it to bring you right back to this calm.
And every time you listen to this journey, your body will remember this feeling… finding its way back to this peaceful rest faster and more easily.
Nothing left to do now… just enjoying the gentle rhythm of your breathing… sinking deeper into the softness of your bed.
Drifting… floating down… completely relaxed… and letting go into the quiet peace of the night…
